In the past, marbling required specialized knowledge, tools and techniques. But this revolutionary marbling set enables everyone to enjoy the endless variations of marbling using ordinary household utensils.

The method is simple, just put marbling inks on the surface of water and transfer the pattern on the water surface to a desired material such as paper or cloth. Even people with no painting experience can create their own wonderful patterns, and people with an interest in painting can achieve undreamed of variations.

These marbling inks are not ordinary dyes. They are pigment inks made by blending high-grade cosmetic pigments with PVA (poly vinyl alcohol) via a special process. They adhere well to materials and do not run or blotch in water. Further, they have an opacity not found in dyes, and can be mixed according to standard color mixing rules like other types of paints.

The inks can also be applied in layers when the under coat is dry. Virtually all ordinary materials which soak up water can be marbled with these inks. They can also be used with air brushes, technical pens, and in watercolor painting. The inks are non toxic and even small children (age 6 and above) can use them without worry.
